Sheila Daniel

Sheila is a DONA certified birth and postpartum doula, as well as a Lamaze Certified Childbirth Educator. She is thrilled to be able to add The VBAC Link Certification to her resume! Sheila is the co-founder of Modesto Birth & Beyond, LLC and one of the educators in the "Made for Birth & Beyond" online classes, which will be launched in Spring  2025!! Ever since taking her own Childbirth Ed classes with her husband and experiencing the childbearing year herself in 1994, she dreamed of being able to help other women feel empowered during their birth and postpartum journeys. Nurturing families during pregnancy, birth, and postpartum is truly her calling!

Sheila considers herself  a “Birth Keeper,” an advocate to ensure women and their partners have a safe, empowering, and positive birth experience, as they define it. She always strives to protect their memory of the birth experience. Whenever she is a witness to a birth, Sheila is struck by its sacred nature and the lifelong and transformative effect this experience holds. It is an honor to support families during this extremely vulnerable time and to be able to offer support as they welcome a new baby into their home!

Sheila had a long career in women’s and family health. In 2014, she became a postpartum doula, caring for dozens of families with newborns. In 2017 Sheila began her education & training through DONA International.  Sheila and her husband raised a family of three children, and now they have been blessed with their amazing grandchildren.
