About me
I’m a certified birth and postpartum doula, a Community Lactation Educator, and a single mother of four, all born at home. My journey into birth work began in 2007 after the empowering home birth of my first child. That experience shaped my passion for helping other families feel supported, informed, and confident throughout pregnancy, birth, and the early postpartum period.
Since 2009, I’ve been supporting birthing people with natural care and education, and in 2012, I began providing hands-on support through labor and postpartum recovery. After years of focusing on raising my children, I pursued formal doula training through MamaGlow in 2023, and have since supported multiple families through various birth experiences - including home births, hospital births, and VBACs.
My approach is grounded in trust, education, and whole-person care. I guide my clients through every stage with personalized support—whether that’s preparing the body for labor through gentle movement, practicing positions for comfort and progress, or helping families understand their options around birth plans and medical interventions. I believe preparation and knowledge are key to reducing fear and building confidence in birth.
I also prioritize postpartum care, recognizing how much recovery and transition take place after birth. I help families plan for rest, healing, newborn care, and feeding—whether that’s chestfeeding, pumping, or formula feeding. I also offer guidance on nutrition, emotional wellbeing, and support systems to ease the adjustment into life with a new baby.
My goal is to walk alongside each client with care, practical tools, and respect - supporting them in having a positive and informed birth and postpartum experience, however that looks for them.
